I am obsessed with all things Gossip Girl at the moment. I have to confess every time I shop I have to ask myself ‘would Serena wear this?’ – god I love that show. Anyway according to the show’s costume designer Eric Daman, Serena’s look is the most difficult to put together. Inspired by Kate Moss, the roll-out-of-bed appearance which Serena stands for is hard to achieve – a look which is effortless but simultaneously stunning. As a minor (make that major) side issue this is also predominantly because actress Blake Lively (who would call their child that?) has a figure which makes me want to weep with envy…..

Anne Klein black ankle boot $209.00
Ankle boots still seem to around for this winter and seem to be popping up everywhere in the stores. Generally, ankle boots are  not the most flattering look . The boot shortens the line of the leg and this is not something we aim to achieve when we get dressed in the morning. However we did say this about gladiator sandles and we have seen plenty of them over summer! So despite the unflattering nature of  ankle boots it is likely they are going to be showing up on the well shod feet of Melbournians! This pair from anne klein are slim fitting and less chunky minimising the whole ’santas elves’ look that ankle boots sometimes have.

Love, love, love, this dress! I saw a girl in the street wearing the longer version of this style with a pair of converse and a tank underneath. It is likely Sass and bide have had a hit season with the punters.

Mimco glomesh bow handbag - $299.00
Mimco can do no wrong at the moment. The chunky chain strap is very chaneleqse without the price tag, and the bag is actually quite a good size for this evening/day bag. Plenty of room for sweeties and makeup (what else do you need in life?). This bag would look great during the day with a pair of jeans too…

Diva black chandelier earrings $16.95
This pair of earrings are becoming quite the ‘basic’ at diva. Classic and eye catching they can go with pretty much any outfit when your out at a bar. I have seen them around since last year - the must be pretty popular.

Saba black leather motorcycle jacket $499.00
The leather of this jacket is so soft and buttery i couldn’t resist rubbing my face in it (sorry non leather wearers). Incidentally this jacket sold out in 2 weeks according to the staff but never fear they have a second batch coming in this month. Also apparently a bomber is on its way and well….
